Ordr – a Start Up – provides enterprise IT, IoT, IoMT and OT security applications to the Healthcare, Finance, Manufacturing and Government sectors.  

The core competencies of Ordr are in the areas of Asset Visibility and Zero Trust Segmentation 

These two competencies are represented in two applications;    

• OrdrAI_Segmentation, focused on Zero Trust Segmentation
• OrdrAI_ Protect, focused on Asset Visibility

OrdrAI _ Protect

While there were continuous improvements in the Segmentation product in 2023-2025, the bulk of the UX work focused on the development and launch of OrdrAI_Protect.  

In terms of UX, the Segmentation product utilized relatively standard UX processes including User Research, Competitive Benchmarking, Ideation, Prototyping etc. 

The OrdrAI_Protect product UX process model – on the other hand – was driven primarily by a founder @ Ordr and could be characterized as follows:

• Compressed Agile UX
• Based primarily on Heuristic feedback
• Real time, highly experimental in both Product Direction and UI/UX

Scope of Work

The primary UX scope of work for the UX team was to provide UI/UX design direction, information architecture, visualization design, AI/UX design and Patterns and Guidelines aimed at providing consistency across the application.  

Impact

Working with the Founder and key internal stakeholders, there were the following primary impacts:

• Formation of a UX Team 
• Competitive benchmarking 
• Establishment of a product brand and visual design
• A rationalized overall information architecture approach
• Automatic Actions Workflows. 
• An integrated Code/UX system primarily based on MUI ( Google Material Design ) 
• Novel approaches to AI/UX
• Query Builder and associated Global Filtering
• Node Graph Visualizations 
• Sankey, Constellation, Venn and other Visualization Approaches 
•  Visual Assets System
